11th September 2014 - Why are we waiting?

No time for any photos today as my sister's house sale finally completed - Yippee!!! We were busy making lots of phone calls advising people about the change. Now we have to sort out her buying half my house - we are seeing a solicitor next week. It seems it's quite complicated and we need to do new wills too.

Anyway this is a shot from yesterday when we went to Foxton Locks which is a series of locks on the Grand Union Canal - I think 10 locks in total. It took ages for this narrow boat to travel down one at a time and there was another boat waiting to go up the steps of the locks.

You can see Barbara and Finlay waiting patiently at the side getting a bit fed up with me taking so many photos!! Never go out with a non-photographer and a dog when you want to take photos!! LOL!!
A fabulous composition. Fav

Nicely composed. And I agree with you on the photo shoot with non photo-shooting and photo enthusiastic people..... and dogs. (Except for my husband who is often a great help on finding the perfect shot and angle....)

I am giggling about your comments of going out with a non-photographer. Whenever I can talk someone into going out with me I'm always left behind my friends a mild to have of me while I am still photographing. I walk slowly I am so afraid I will miss something.

Good luck with your sister. Not really complicated, you just want to get it done right.

I would have thought Finlay was used to photographic delay by now!! Must train your sister to become involved in some way, but she must think it is her idea. And let me know when you figure out how to do it so I can train Jim!

As @taffy sorta said, a little training needed in those departments! And then you can let me know too, so I can get Les further than the 'I must get my camera out sometime' stage.

Ha ha love the title, I'm sure my husband is secretly reciting that whenever we are out and I have my camera. He has the patience of a saint. Love the light on Finlay's coat!

I so agree with you re non photographers! Saturday was a joy, 12 hours photography with @sequoia at the festival and no 'get on with it' looks. This is such a pretty section of the Grand Union :)
