This is Nutfield Priory which is a spa Hotel in Surrey. I couldn't get any closer to the building so I am not sure if this qualifies as an architectural shot. It does show the building with it's surroundings which as you can see are quite lovely.

@taffy@newbank@888rachel@golftragic@sullivar I was back in my old haunt this weekend (Redhill, Surrey) and remembered this building which i thought would be a good subject. Unfortunately they had closed off the entrance and I had to walk through a field of very wet knee high grass to get to this position!! I had to go back to my friend's house to change my shoes and trousers after this shot!! LOL!!
Yes, this was totally worth the travails, wet legs and all! The layering is perfect, with our eyes drawn through the pond and reflection, up the tree and then to the Priory. The Priory is clearly the focal point, supported by the layers of pond, reflection, and grasses, and even the sky cooperated by having the clouds part just at the right spot! I'm so enjoying the architecture theme and what you've been doing focused on buildings that are soooo totally different than what I see here. Fav!
This is lovely. I love how the house sits on the hill, regarding it's kingdom from on high. Lovely reflection in the water too. It was well worth the walk!
Gorgeous English countryside shot. I like how the building is reflected in the lake too. The house is the star of the shot, the surroundings just support it and show it off.
Beautiful! I love the building and the reflections in the pond below the lily pads. I find the position of the tree a tad distracting as it is so close to the priory - I want to keep my eye trained on the building but it keeps getting pulled down to where the trunk meets the lake. All in all, another beautiful shot!
