Heavy rain this morning so using a shot from a few days ago. There are a pair of robins coming to the feeders and I am hoping to get a shot with them together. They move so quickly that I am not holding my breath!!
Yesterday was not good with a visit to the dentist for both of us. I had a big filling and my sister had her first session for a crown to be fitted.
In the afternoon I turned on my Mac Book Pro only to have messages flashing across screen telling me it had been frozen as there was a trojan identified!! OMG it said it could access passwords for bank accounts etc. There was a phone number for Mac OS Support which I phoned and an Indian man started to tell me what to do. It was when he said give access to my screen that I suddenly felt uncomfortable. I said I don't like to give you access as I have heard so much about scams. The man rudely said well don't then take it to your local computer man - he hung up. I turned my computer off and when I turned it back all the messages had disappeared. Now I worry do I have a trojan in the system or was it indeed a scam? All very scary!!
Lovely to find this treasure on a rainy day. Ouchies to the dentist, hope you are both recovering well and feel less tender very soon.
I think it was a scam. I have found the best way to get help from Apple is to go via their authentic website and ask for online chat support. How scary for you!
