Having fun now!! This is my 2nd HDR attempt and I know it looks rather cartoon like but what fun this is!! I have just chosen one of the presets and thought WOW that's livened up my street somewhat!! LOL!! I need to get my head round tone mapping and what I am supposed to do but just playing at the moment!!
I've yet to try HDR settings on my camera but I like this shot. It's a great composition with the car in the front leading the eye to the other side of the street
The HDR effect really does make such a difference to everyday scenes. I like how you have done this. I intend to learn about this process very soon as would love to play around with it as you have done.
I really wish there were separate terms for three image HDR shots where the intention is to make a natural looking photo, and what I refer to as false HDR, that produces exaggerated contrast and colors. This effect has its place, but I am not a fan of the technique in most images, and will be glad when the fad becomes less common. That said, it has been held back enough in this image for me to appreciate the bright colors and detail in the dark clouds.
Very cool! I can tell you are having fun. I think HDR is such a great invention, and it's satisfying when I feel I've controlled it instead of vice versa.
