Opening to the sea by pamknowler

Opening to the sea

This is where the sun sets every night - see last nights after sundown shot. It is the opening to the sea where the two rivers - the Torridge and the Taw merge as they flow into the sea. To the left of the shot is Appledore and to the right is Crow point. You can get to Crow point but it is quite a drive through Barnstable and then you have to go along a toll road to the beach. Absolutely nothing there except for the beach and you get very few people there which is wonderful. A great place to take a picnic. Also the dogs are allowed on the beach. Many beaches at this time of year restrict dogs from going onto the beach. I always check the rules before we visit any beach in the summer.
