Dahlia Macro by phil_sandford

Dahlia Macro

We've been away for a couple of days, and some of the later Dahlias have bloomed (still a couple yet to do so). This is one from the original bed, so I think it's from last year, though I did squeeze some of the new ones into the bed where I didn't see shoots coming up.

We visited a number of National Trust properties during our weekend away, and a house that is not National Trust (Houghton Hall). All of them had walled gardens and all of them had Dahlias. Houghton House had a wonderous display and, kindly, had labled them. I took pictures of every type and every lable, so I know what to order for next year
Beautiful Phil. I love the way you have focused the shot and the fall of the light. Fav
