Family Portrait

The water is the 'run off' for site where I work. It is not a lake and is not a pond - that was made very clear to us when we moved into the building.

The first spring, back in 2012, a nesting pair of Canada Geese arrived; the same pair return each Spring and there is a great interest amongst the staff on how many chicks are born, how many survive (fox kills are common) etc.
Looks a very peaceful scene. Nice view to have from your office.

Wow. We have Canadian Geese here and you have them there. Those birds really get around. Nice shot.

@mbrutus too many of them to be quite honest now. The close season on shooting them this been lifted and they have been declared in the UK as vermin
