One flower I cannot grow for more than a couple of years is the Rose. I have tried them in a number of beds and ultimately I wind up digging out rotting roots. So, this has come from a bunch of flowers I bought for my long suffering wife, Carole, last night (she believes they were bought for my 365Project)
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Beautiful high key photo. Roses thrive here is ROSEville. We have very dry (most of the year) and very hot (summers). Maybe there is a special type of rose that is more adapted to wet and cooler. Good luck.
If the roots of your roses are rotting eventually, may I suggest that you try them in raised beds that will allow for more reliable drainage. Roses are my other passion, besides photography and I hate to see anyone without at least a few bushes in the garden. As to your wife's suspicions... My wife is wise to that trick as well. They might as well be forensic garden profilers.
