flapping in the fir tree

this pigeon was trying simultanously to perch on a twig not really strong enough for it and pull off a piece for nestbuilding - I couldn't capture its flapping wings but I liked the shot anyway

Yes I agree, nice shot. The pigeon looks intent on keeping her balance, lovely colour against the bare twigs.

A beautiful blue makes her a stand out. Who cares about flapping wings - being able to study her without the fluttering is far more interesting.

@creativeamateur @doblaine @tishpics If this is the same pigeon I photographed in earlier shots, (hard to tell!) it's taking about a month to make her nest. I'm a bit puzzled! Maybe the first attempt got blown down in the wind and rain.
