I've copied out the recipe as I'm sure this must be very delicious! I'll try it when I get a moment but it's back to work tomorrow. Shame you didn't post it yesterday because I could have made it today. Never mind. it's a really nice composition

@creativeamateur @rosiekind @tishpics I've had this recipe for c 40 years. Ray followed the recipe but I just put all the ingredients into a bowl and switch on the electric mixer. My oven is fierce so it does not need an hour to cook.

@quietpurplehaze I've a feeling I have made something like this before called a Sand cake!! It was very nice!

@tishpics Not made of sand, I presume?! If I don't have any ground rice I just use semolina instead, a very forgiving recipe.
