This flower, along with about 10-12 others, is on a little cutting a friend gave to Ray last summer. The cutting is still in a small pot and hasn't grown that much so I'm amazed it has so many flowers on it.
I like the way they bloom: at first there is a small red bud and then the yellow 'skirt' gradually appears from underneath it.
What a stunning flower ,beautifully captured --love the light playing on the petals ,Hazel it is so nice to have sunshine to bring the plants to life !!
I love these flowers but sadly they didn't seem to love our garden. May be better to leave it in the small pot!! These colours are so bright and cheerful.
