I've always like seeing new thatch go on a cottage. A few years ago a friend researched my family tree and I was happy to learn that my paternal great grandfather and his father, worked as thatchers.

Great shot of what we call: ``Rietdekkers`` . A lot of old farms and houses in our country has a roof like this ( if I do n`t forget I`ll send you some pic.`s of it , next time )
