This long-tailed tit and its mate have a nest in a tall tree in our front garden. My dream is to capture one of them in the humming-bird-like hover they perform when leaving and returning to the nest.
But all I've managed so far is this shot with the long zoom lens through our bedroom window.
So you could say this is a portrait of failure!
(And I do hope the suntanned chaps building an extension to the house opposite didn't think I was pointing the camera at them.)
They didn't wave so I guess that was a good sign!!!
