On the way back from the almshouses across the water meadows yesterday I noticed the evening light on the avenue of trees. Then I realised that of the half dozen or so British White Cattle grazing on one side of the avenue, all but one had crossed over to pastures new.
But this calf seemed intent on heading straight for me. NOW - am I using that tree trunk on the left as a natural frame OR am I sort of semi-hiding behind it....
What I did was exit left and walk along the other side of the avenue, leaving him to it.
Always something to be grateful for!!!
