I heard recently that one of the two geese on South Pond had disappeared. Having tea with a friend in a cafe in Bishops Waltham this week the culprit was revealed by the lady serving us - the goose was got by a dog.
It's ironic because the geese were always getting out of the pond and onto the roundabout and surrounding streets and terrorising folk's dogs.
This is the remaining goose, solo and as placid again as ever.
