One of the borders at Hinton Ampner was planted with bushes of pale pink roses.
We have a workman here up a ladder investigating a small leak in the dormer roof of our bedroom. It had crossed my mind to ask him for a portrait for my strangers' project, but a cold wind is blowing and it's just started to rain. So I think it would be pushing it a bit, or in other words, discretion is the better part of valour.
