Part of the boat price … as it turned out [Filler]
The rowing shell we listed for sale was snatched up very quickly. Clearly, our asking price was too low — gah! The buyer is a rowing school in upstate New York not far from the Vermont state line. Part of our email exchange:
“Thanks for your e-mail.
We will pay the asking price for your shell.
“We will pay ahead and [arrange for] pick up just before Thanksgiving or earlier.
“We will also send a big bottle of our Maple syrup to you Thom, for working with us long distance.
“Your Alden will be for our sculling programs here.”
We have the check, this bottle of maple syrup, and before Thanksgiving we should have the garage space for the indoor rower we've ordered. More “pandemic machinations”…
