Last week was a first return to my Saturday morning breakfast group. One of the guys said he had to leave early. [Blah, blah, blah.] Turns out he was heading to this Habitat for Humanity project site to work on this house. I followed, talked to a Board member (and tireless worker), signed a release and this week I returned for my first work day. House is framed, dry-walled, and painted, so everyone was laying flooring today in various rooms.
P.S. The two lead carpenters and one of the more experienced volunteers have some very cool tools! This could lead to more expenditures than just my time and energy.
