So when you flick a switch

… something turns on. This is the electrical box for a small, three-bedroom Habitat for Humanity home. Of course, much of this will be exactly the same for a home three or four times as large: AC, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven/range. There is a lot of room for expansion at the top of the box, say for charging an EV? And for the curious, there are coax jacks in every room … but no “telephone lines.”

Speaking of phone technology, as I post this in mid-January, my phone that was new after this incident 3+ years ago has effectively died. The microphone and speakers don’t work, which kind of makes it hard for the device to function as an audio communication device. So I get to sink a bunch o’ time today into researching and purchasing a new phone and, once it arrives, migrating all my stuff to the new device. Maybe the camera will be better? I’ll be skipping over three generations of the brand’s model.

Not sure if I’ll have a photo today, so I’m going to work through December so I can share Christmas-time photos with the kids to a share online album, and post photos to Clare’s networked photo frame in the kitchen. Also, there was a very fun December dinner celebrating our anniversary a little early.
