this is a simple weed, really tiny but they grow in abundance near the pond where i took the swan photo two weekends ago.
i like to take macro shots of flowers and anything with a lot of colours. of course, i also like taking beautiful landscapes. today, when i saw this tiny flower, it reminded me of @karenann's shots last winter and i thought i'd do a "karenann" macro. i like it, don't you?
karenann, you have inspired me with your macro shots and they just make me want to do them, too. and yes, the results are quite different if you're using a p&s. mind you, i love my canon and it's taking great macros these days, but to get this effect, i would need to crop to bring forth the details. but using a dSLR, you get a sort of 3D effect.
i think that every now and then, i will take shots in honour and in the style of my 365 friends. that would be nice, wouldn't it?

Before I got my DSLR (which was recently) I always used my Canon P&S and I think it took great macro shots! I don't have special macro lens for my new camera. Yes I do like it! I also love to find flowers & such and take macro shots, it's always surprising what you will see.

I wanted to do an "inspired by..." week in the May challenge- but Alia didn't think she'd be able to do that for a whole week, so we added something else. But I like that idea. Being that I only have a p & s, it certainly would be hard to replicate something that ME would take- but one can dream can't they??!! lol So, you've taken a lovely shot of this little clover bud a la KarenAnn! Nice job!!
@myhrhelper - thank you, kathy. i've decided i will get a dSLR but it is still a toss up between nikon and canon. i'd like to be able to use the telephoto and portrait lenses from my old minolta but i'm not really too keen on sony although i've read a lot of good reviews on sony dSLR's.
and yes, i think i'd do a shot like the style of one of you guys every now and then. it should be fun!
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. i think it would be quite difficult to emulate your shots, although i was practicing bird shots this afternoon and most of them were epic fails!
