today twenty-seven of us rode the Heart & Stroke Foundation's Big Bike and raised over $5,000 for the foundation's research initiative. i mostly took photos and would pedal only occasionally. we had fun, and people walking in the streets were waving, taking photos and cheering us on. the best cheerers were the construction workers who were on their lunch breaks. and apparently, our team, the last one for today, was the noisiest and most fun!
of course we stopped traffic, we had two police cars escorting us around the immediate vicinity of toronto's financial district, all for a good cause. i raised over $300 and the office matched everyone's contribution to a certain amount. the weather also cooperated, beautiful bright sunshine with a slight breeze which made for a good ride. a good time was had by all.
i had to jump off first so i could get some photos of my team!
Wow....sounds like a great ride Summerfield. Its great you were able to raise money and bring awareness to the foundation. Love those bikes too. Looks like it was a comfortable day to ride. Congrats.

No...thank you. I've been so backed up, I've been trying to play catch up with everyone's. Figured I'd take one person at a time, when I have time, and catch up. You've always been a huge support for me, and I appreciate it alot. :)
@steeler - thank you, howard. ooops, i was thinking we could attach a side car to your bike! hahaha. or i would have to get a trike as i don't know how to really bike. would like to learn but afraid to break a bone, not at this age anyway.
