but different view as i just moved back a bit so i could capture the clouds with the boat and pier. on this trip we were regaled by nature with different shapes and colours of clouds and sky.
in learning to imagine, freeman patterson advises us to frequent galleries or libraries and study the pictures in other media. when a photograph appeals or intrigues us strongly, that we should concentrate on its expressive qualities. i choose this nature's gallery, the bluewater river. in this particular vantage point, the clouds are really different as you turn 180 degrees, and yet the colours of the water remains bluish-teal. and that's why it's called 'bluewater' river.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
I can see what you mean when you turn or step back. This photo is comparison to the previous one has such a different perspective and ambiance. The drama in the sky sets the tone for a storm just about to burst and the photo is darker by comparison. I love what you have accomplished in the photo. Great composition
The contrast between these two images is really striking! I like how you can change what you express and convey in your image just by changing your POV so slightly in this location.
