according to legend, the patron saint of this country, was crucified on an x-shaped cross.
that should be another easy one for you, folks!
funny story today. there was only an intermittent breeze tonight so this flag was just hanging limp. i had my lens on full zoom waiting for that whip of breeze to whip the flag to open. a very well-dressed couple asked me "who lives there?" beside the church was a tall building. i politely said that nobody lives there as it is an office building. they thought i was taking a photo of some celebrity. i asked who's in town. and the wife said "everyone's here!" that's when i noticed that there was a lot of people lined up or milling about as a few yards from the corner where i stood there was a big concert hall. then i realized that the toronto international film festival was going on at the moment. so i told the couple, i was waiting for the flag to open up so i could take a photo and that i'm not interested in any celebrities.
i took this from inside the grounds of the church.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
It does look like the Scottish flag but I'm not really sure. I think those people you were talking to, would probably walk away saying - lies, all lies! She knows something!
Nice capture of St Andrew's cross, representing Scotland :) Looks like it was worth the wait to capture it unfurling (even if you had to deal with the tourists while you waited!)
