this has been done quite a few times this week for the five plus two's "in the woods" theme. i had a specific shot for the theme but i just couldn't find the proper place to shoot it. most of the woodsy parks i could access have too many people, some of them too curious for my liking. i also needed at least three children, and even with the assurance to the mothers that i will shoot in high key so the children are unrecognizable (and i had to show them an example of a high key shots) still refused to let me 'borrow' their children.
one young man, who told me he wanted to write a dissertation on the self-portrait phenomenon for his masters degree, kept asking questions during set up and at one time touched my camera while i was by a tree. i don't like that. he didn't look like he would grab and steal my gears, i just don't want people i don't know touching my camera. it was also the screen that he touched, and as you know the screen gets pressed on the face when you look through the evf to focus. it makes me feel eeky!
and then they all ran away when i showed this overlay shot from my screen. tee-hee!
off to stalk the romeo and juliet company to see if i can take a selfie through their door prop!
thank you for your kind views and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Very distrubing picture with the tree looking at me. It feels like it's going to lurch out at me and take me away like the Wizard of Oz forest trees. I thing it's the Wizard of Oz anyways it creeps me. Great caputre.
