the one that didn't make the cut for the toys on 365 album:
splish and splash!
My best buds are still here, remember them? You see, when we were told that this week we will be celebrating the "Step on a Puddle and Splash Your Friend" day on January 11, we were quite excited. Yes, we are required to have a photograph of us having fun. But there was just one problem: there would be no puddle to step on and even if there was it would have been the slushy kind. It is winter here and right now it is biting cold out there! Grandy is already sick and we don't think she'd be up to photographing us outside. It would've been fun if there was snow we'd make snow angels. We were not permitted to have fun on the ice in Niagara Falls unlike Mr. Padraigh Penwyn because Grandy said the ice was his natural habitat.
So Katy (who is wearing a blonde wig as she is to star in a play), Linda Panda, Callie Coala, Jerica Giraffe and I were told to think of something else to do. The pools are presently closed it being winter. We suggested to Grandy that we can swim in the sink. So she asked Grandpa to clean the sink for us.
We loved diving and sliding from the water slide. Then Grandy said she would try to capture water crowns while we were at it. We thought we'd play a game of jumping in the middle of the crown. Grandy was quite frustrated that she couldn't capture a perfect crown but we were excited anyway as we tried jumping inside the crowns. Oh, how we enjoyed it!
So all you out there, remember on Sunday, if you can, step on a puddle and splash your friends. It should be fun! And take lots of pictures and show them here. Tag them 365TOYS-SPLASHorSLIDE
What!? I'm the first comment on this too-cute peek at playtime! (This is the year I plan to learn how to use the speed setting...I've only been an onlooker for too long!) So here's the good news this Saturday morning as I write... TaDa! It's Raining!! The puddles are still only a dreamed of possibility as a drought-breaker this is not! "Puddles" del Pinguino will also have to be quite careful with the puddle jumping so as not to meet the fate of his predecessor in the hands of a 2-yr-old...
Hope this finds you feeling supremely better, Grandy ;)
