i live east of downtown toronto in the street and area called "greektown" because of the concentration of greek businesses and residences from a long time ago. now, danforth avenue is a small version of melting pot that is toronto as businesses and restaurants are now a mix of greeks, italians, japanese, korean, macedonian, ethiopian, indian and middle eastern cultures. in the old days, it is one of the main arteries of travel around toronto and surrounding areas. it is still a major roadway and there are groups that are working to transform the danforth back to its former glory. this is facing west.
no need to comment as i'm fulfilling the challenge set by my partner this week, sarah lawson @opticlens and her challenge to me was "an image titled The Street Where I Live".
also the blur was deliberate because i liked the bokeh that i saw through the viewfinder, for the technique challenge.
Doesn't look at all greek to me! Gorgeous intermingling bokeh! We used to live in the country in Auckland NZ until the chinese moved in. Instead of Howick, it was then called Chowick!
I love this! My son and his family live right around the corner and I think it's my Jan. 1 photo that is of Greektown on the Danforth. It's one of my most favorite places! I love, love your shot. Great colors and bokeh! Well done and fav!
Hi Summerfield, sorry I haven't commented on you picture i've been away from home with work. The thing I like about get pushed challenge is that you give someone a challenge and interperet it your way then someone comes along, interprets it totally differently and comes up with omit hit beautiful! Not what I expected but I really like the blur and totally fulfills the challenge. Love it! Fav
