that's the temperature this morning when i woke up. -23 celcius. that's -9 something in fahrenheit scale. if you factor in the bitter wind, it's a really balmy -41 degrees celcius.
it's been sunny all day. it looks like a beautiful day then your eyes wander down the ground with more than a foot of snow. then you notice that your eyes are getting watery which is actually on the verge of freezing. if you don't get inside in 15 minutes your name will be changed to frosty and you will have eyes made of coal and a carrot nose.
well, at least we're not being battered by snowstorm like in the eastern provinces, the one that wreaked havoc in the eastern states. counting our blessings here.
Oh my gosh - my heart goes out to all of you in the north and parts of the country where it is freezing cold and I know it is bitter cold. We are a little cold here in Florida - cold enough for the Hot Tub, but nothing near to what you have. And factor in the wind chill - down right cold. Bundle up, stay warm!
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. if we were rich, we could live in the arizona or texas in the winter and come back to the east board in the warm months. wishing! :-)
@kwind - that's about the ideal temp but you have your funny weather quirks in there, too! :-) thank you, kim.
@susanalena - did we hear an invitation to fly down there so we could be warm? :-D thank you, susan.
@bkbinthecity - did you save your snow in september and send it here? :-) thank you, brian.
@grammyn - thank you, katy. guess i need to learn how to play the banjo on my knee if i'm off to alabama. got to find a susanna!
@voiceprintz - it's still doomsday cold. where'd you think we should send this cold to? siberia maybe since they're used to it anyway. haha! thank you, jt.
@francoise - i never knew wind chill until i came to canada. thank you, francoise.
Had to chuckle at your description, Vikki. I can sympathize for real, though. It's going to be single digits (F) where I am in the morning. I'm loving the different photo ops it offers, though! I lived in AZ for 6 years - and it ain't all peaches a cream. Peaches, maybe - just a touch of cream.
@claireuk - hot bottles? how about some vodka? or hot tea as i don't drink anyway. :-) thank you, my good friend claire.
@olivetreeann - oh, yes! we are off to alabama with a banjo on ann's knees! oh, susanna! thank you, ann!
@stray_shooter - it's still doomsday cold in here, but much better than sunday. and i like peaches, but no cream, thank you very much! hahaha! thank you, ron.
