i almost forgot about the artist challenge. this one is the antithesis to ms. o'keeffe's "city night" painting, as this was taken in the middle of the day. this was taken from outside union station by its massive columns. the seemingly white building is actually my office building, the one with the gold-leafed windows. the building on the left is the royal york hotel. https://www.wikiart.org/en/georgia-o-keeffe/city-night
nice shapes (in the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition, they paired her paintings of buildings with Anselm Ansel photographs, as he was a friend and they influenced each other).
This is what I was going for was the one that I shot. Of course mine was in black-and-white last month and I did not have these beautifully tall buildings to use as there is nothing over two stories tall in my little town. Most excellent photo and fabulous for the challenge
I wish I could see the original o'keeffe as I wasn't aware she did this kind of work. Apparantly we are not allowed to view your link from UK. It is a great shot - love the framing.
This is excellent. I thought of Ayn Rand’s “Fountainhead” when I saw it. This certainly is reminiscent of O’Keefe’s “Radiator Building” painting, excellent!
