taking a break from work (i was at the office today so could not sneak into 365) i walked over to reception to rest my eyes from the glare of the computer screens. the sun was shining (after a heavy downpour at lunch) and the lake looked a bright blue with the amazing cerulean sky. but what caught my eye was the golden sunshine right on the mural of the flatiron building. so i ran back to my desk to get my iphone. when i came back out again, the clouds seemed to have covered the sun, but promptly shone again and it seemed like a spot light was directed at the mural. see how tiny the building amidst the low rise condos and the skyscrapers.
Your phone does such a fab job of zooming in, or at least capturing a good shot that can be cropped heavily in post processing. I love both images. The one on the left shows the mural off well. The one on the right gives perspective to the height of the buildings surrounding the flatiron building.
