all day it was cloudy and there were a few times when there was a flurry of flurries! so at three o'clock when i saw the sun shining brightly, i took a mad dash for the subway and went downtown to the lake. 'twas a good thing i didn't leave the stove on or i would be homeless by now and wouldn't have been able to post.
i wanted a sunset, but that was quite impossible seeing that the sunset would be in the other direction. technically if i did that, i would still be photographing lake ontario, just another part and not the one we'd been looking at for the last six days. but, as i pondered this conundrum, i noticed a plane passing through as it approached the airport to land. you can discern that the light was coming from behind me as this time the sun was still far from setting. (if i wasn't rushing to get back home, i could've taken a pic of the sun as it sets on the lake! kicking myself now...) anyhow, there's a commercial plane flying over the silvery water as it descended to land at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
and that's the end of this seven-day challenge. i might do another same-subject-challenge but not this week. i'll probably be picking up on the opposites challenge as from tomorrow, but i shall see how much time i have for photographing.
Great series Summerfield. You certainly picked a good subject for the challenge. Still trying to figure out what to do if I do it. I only have to the 31st and I'm not sure I want to finish out the year with 7 shots of the same thing! Nice catch with the plane.
nice shot of the plane and I like the way the clouds look. I didn't see any snow today..must have been all near the lake..I did see very gloomy clouds though...thats ok..3 more days to go and the days start getting longer again =)
@karenann - thank you, karenann. hope i didn't bore you.
@olivetreeann - ann, you can still do the challenge anytime. and i'm still coming up blank as to what special photo i should take for the 365th spot on the album. thank you, ann.
@roth - every year, that's what i tell my friends. right on the 22nd of december "did you notice the days are getting longer?" that usually gets them into a whining or some other thing. thank you, sue.
@olivetreeann - yes, of course, you are right! each photo in our albums are unique in itself. okay, i shall do that, too. just take a photo of whatever. it would still be special. thanks, ann. :-) problem solved!
@pamfromcalgary - air canada express. i'd have wanted the other carrier, porter, but i was in a hurry and couldn't wait long. one lands every 15 minutes, i think. thank you, pam.
@steeler - thank you, howard. and thanks for your concern. fortunately no friends or family are in that part of the islands. it was a very unfortunate incident though.
I also came by to check if any of your relatives where hit by that terrible storm! Thanks for the Oil of Oregano tip - almost everyone at work told me the same - for me I'm just feeling extremely 'blah' with migraine. Hope it passes. I have no idea what my final shot will be for 365.
@sanera - a plane lands every fifteen minutes or so. you gotta be alert though as these planes are almost quiet you'd hear the traffic but not the plane. thank you, sam.
@russianblue - hope you feel better, kass. and thank you for your concern. i think everyone's okay back home. thank you.

@daveanajao - yup! i did it. thank you, dave.
