i missed out on the beautiful sunny day yesterday and almost missed this, too. today, the day started out as cloudy so this was a bonus. we had to bring the grands back to their mother and coming back the sunset was just teasing me. so partner drove up to a bridge east of us, made an illegal u-turn and drove the car on neutral while i tried to get this shot. i was so grateful for that gesture that i treated him to an "all you can eat sushi" dinner.
looking west/southwest, my city is so beautiful, this sunset makes it more so.

I do not wish you joy without any sorrow,
Nor endless day without the healing dark
Nor brilliant sun without the restful shadows,
Nor tides that never turn against your bark.
I wish you love and faith and strength and wisdom.
Goods, gold enough to help some needy one.
I wish you songs but also blessed silence
And God's sweet blessings when each day in your life is done.

way behind still on commenting on your albums, folks. bear with me, please. i shall get to yours hopefully sooner rather than later. thank you so much.
@klinehan - thank you, kesha. i'm really glad that i didn't miss it.
@karenann - yes, this set me back $45 for dinner. hahahaha! the sushi was to die for anyway. i've known this poem for about 40 years now. i heard it on a radio show in manila. at the time i was taking my secretarial course and when the announcer read this i had my notebook and pen practicing my steno so i did shorthand as he read. just got stuck in my head and i would recite it to myself every now and then. it is beautiful, isn't it?
@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. it was a gorgeous sky. but i'm curious, though. just what colours do you see? i've known one or two people who i was told were colour blind and i've been wanting to speak to them about this. if i hold up a blue pen, what colour would you see? does it depend on the lighting? i'm really interested to know these things.
