it's quite funny. last year, on this very same date, i posted a photo of my sunglasses http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2011-03-16
but i forgot to include my oakley sunnies. it's a special pair of sunglasses because it has a built in mp3 and earphones.
i love big sunglasses. my big "jackie o" pair broke during my airplane ride to manila last year; it was a good thing i brought two spare pairs. everyone should wear sunglasses to protect our eyes from the glare of sunlight. that's what my eye doctor says. ladies definitely should because we develop those little fine lines when we squint due to bright sunlight. as for me, i really don't care about the lines, i need to wear really dark sunnies because i could get a migraine and my migraine could sometimes be so severe i'm useless for days.
I had a pair of Jackie O sunglasses too! They broke many years ago- but they've always been my favorites. The current pair is pretty big too. And I have one junky pair I have in the car for when I forget the others! But none of them have the ability to play music! Lucky you!!
@olivetreeann - i've been looking for another pair like my jackie o and couldn't find them. this pair with the mp3 was given to me a long about six years ago and now it is all the rage again. i don't like the wrap arounds so much. thank you, ann.
@steeler - a friend of mine used to be able to tell when there's going to be a storm because apparently that triggers my migraine. it doesn't affect me as bad as it used to. i guess, i'm spared the suffering in my old age. hehe. thank you, howard, and those are über glasses you're wearing.
@ataylor - several years ago, oakley came up with this idea and also rubber shoes with built in mp3. figure the headset would have a loooooong wire to connect to the shoe, or maybe it was wireless, or maybe you had to put the shoe up to your ears. ew!
@sarasdadandmom - it was a great idea. but i couldn't use it for driving, though. i listen to the music more than pay attention on my driving. but it's great when i'm just a passenger. i can ignore people.
love the sunglasses, love the portrait of you wearing them -- hate the migraines! I am glad the big style is back -- to protect my pale (Irish) complexion! I just got a huge pair, too -- very similar to these! Such good taste we have!
OH! great shot - love those glasses! i, too, have to wear sun glasses whenever i go outside and am in the middle of a discussion as i write this - have ruined 3 mp3 players by dropping them in the pool. did he know about these awesome glasses? of course! men.
There's my beautiful girl!! Love those glasses . . only you would have the "built-in mp3 player, etc!" :) I still wear my Jackie O's. Love them! I also get migraines . . get so sick. Haven't had them in awhile tho. LOVE this pic.
@karenann - thank you, karenann. no, i'm sure there were others who had them. it was a company 'bonus' at my sister's office and she gave them to me for my birthday. it's a cool gadget though, but i still prefered to wear my jackie o's. which reminds me, i'm going to go and find a new jackie o pair or sunglasses. thanks again.
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. much appreciated.
@myautofocuslife - thank you, livia. much appreciated.
