key

i love keys and i don't ever throw away any key in my possession even if they're no longer in use. (hmmm...and all this time i've been wondering why my purse's always heavy.) in particular, i love old skeleton keys, especially if they are still in use. like old photographs, i find these skeleton keys romantic, they scream of untold stories and whisper of dark secrets they silently bore witness to.

this key however is special. it is very much in use, when i want to. however, to be able to use this, i need to go to my bank, present them my bank card and my driver's license, sign a form, and i still can't use this key without a second key that only the bank has.

the key doesn't really look like this. i went picniking and played around with the effects. i kind of like the way this turned out. it's almost like a key from the outer limits.
what an odd one, I like it

I was just thinking that is one FUNKY deposit box key! Looks like something from a fantasy book for kids. :))

I love old keys, too! My daughter once had a room in her apt where she hung a bunch of old keys -- really was cool! Great shot! Keys offer so much possibility!!!

@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry. i processed it that's why it looks odd. i used 'goofify' in picnik.

@espyetta - hmmmm....fantasy book for kids. good idea. thank you, MB.

@karenann - thank you, karenann. just a few important papers that need to be protected. and the fee is so minimal anyway.

@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i was not happy with just the key and i was trashing it around with the goofify effect. well, i kinda liked how it shaped up and i just kept on going until it looked like this. yes, it was fun!

@cscecil - thank you, CS. i like the sound of jingling keys. it reminds me of the song 'windmills of your mind' particularly the last bit.

@alia_801 - thank you, alia. i think it looks like a ghost key!

@summerfield No I thought the shape was odd.

@inertie - that proverb is so true. thank you, glad you liked it.

@steeler - holy cow! same with me, people would just come and see if i have a key that would replace their lost ones. but i just hand them an old sturdy credit card because the ones in my collection would surely not fit. thank you, howard.

@eddyj - thank you, eddy. new profile pic?
