it's spring and soon the warm weather will be (hopefully) here soon and that means wearing showy shoes and sandals. these stuff will be in frequent use once again. i use nail polish only on my toe nails during summer. i have ugly feet so i make special effort to make them look decent. my nails on all twenty digits grow so fast i have to trim them often. my problem is i hate the effect on my teeth when i have to file my nails but i got to or the stockings and silk blouses would get snagged. these nail file and emery board are new for the spring and summer.
whoa! i can't believe i'm discussing my feet and toe nails in here, but i wanted to take a pic of the abrasive person in my office but she's too unphotogenic and i didn't want my camera to explode on me whilst taking her pic. hahaha!
lol Vikki- you are a character! But you're not alone. Spring, summer and part of Fall I paint my toenails too. I give them a break in winter- it's supposed to be better for your nails anyway. Good shot- I think the emery board company may want it for their next ad campaign.
I totally get what you mean about teeth and abrasive noises, I can barely stand to be in the room while someone sharpens a knife for the abrasive noise setting my teeth on edge. I paint my toenails too, for some reason polish stays on them but chips off my fingers in a day
Well .. there's all kinds of ways to photograph "abrasive!" This was probably the better way to go, summerfield. Love the comp and your story. Something that everyone should do .. for all of the reasons that you gave. :)
I'm with you -- to photograph that abrasive person in our offices would be so abrasive to our cameras...............!! So the next best thing is this -- good shot and I love your tale! Makes me want to go paint my toenails!!
@olivetreeann - oooh 'character' i like that. at the office they call me trouble. i like character better! thank you, ann.
@pandorasecho - same results for me, too, with the nail polish. thank you, dixie.
@boogie - yes, they're unused but not really new. i buy them when they're on sale or they come with something i bought so i have quite a few stock. thank you, mags.
@karenann - i get to do my nails every two weeks in the summer, although i freshen up the polish weekly. these days it's hard, can't bend for too long. getting old! hahaha. thank you, karenann.
@cscecil - go paint the toe nails then. as for me, i'll wait until i really must wear sandals. kinda hard bending down for too long nowadays. whenever i'm bending down, i take my time to get up, i try to see what else i can do while in there. hahahaha! thank you, CS.
@lesleyallen - in my office there's quite a few abrasive ones! hahaha. thank you, lesley.
I am laughing out loud here at the last part about the camera exploding! Haha I was thinking, as I started your story, that if someone wanted a photo of abrasive, it would be pretty easy to find a person to fill the bill. Hee hee.... I see you thought the same way, but good thing you chose not to sacrifice your camera, or we'd not see any more photos from you. And that would make us sad.
@espyetta - MB, as soon as i saw that word from the list of prompts for the challenge, there were a few people i know who personify the word. hahaha. thank you, but if the camera explodes, i still have a small p&s that i could use. it's not easy getting rid of me, you know. hehehe!
@myhrhelper - you mean a "selfie"? hahahaha! thank you, kathy.
@steeler - thank you, howard. now, oyster is one thing that i don't find palatable, just like you won't eat beans. but i've been known to have lobster tail for breakfast! breakfast of champions, ain't it?
