patty @socalgal my "get pushed" partner this week has pushed me to take a macro shot.
i had to go through my grandson's toybox to find this little feather. he loves putting this on his fedora hat. when his uncle married, instead of a hankie, he used this on his little suit. he looked like a big man. i miss that little boy and i'm pretty sure he misses lola, too. this feather is only about an inch and a quarter long. i have one more entry which i will post tomorrow.
patty, i hope you approve.

thank you, ladies and gents, for your views and comments; they are much appreciated.
Gorgeous macro and softness is beautiful. You covered all your bases. Beautiful clarity and wonderful on that dark background. A winner, my friend. You do know how to get a gorgeous macro.
@socalgal - patty, thank you so much for the push. i've done quite a few macros but it's different when there's pressure to do something (or being pushed). i hope i didn't torture you too much with my push, but see, everyone likes your selfie. thanks again.
Great capture, but what I love about it the most is the part closest to the top right corner. Reminds me of passing, wispy clouds. Maybe its a lack of sleep, but that's what I see. Great lighting
