artist challenge #41 - les boucles d'oreilles

or "the earrings" as inspired by the work of William-Adolphe Bouguereau, a French traditionalist painter.

this was shot hastily as you can see by the lighting, or i wouldn't have had an entry for the challenge. it had been a busy week at work. thank goodness though, there was a sale at the accessories store and i got this pair of beautiful earrings for my lovely model.

shot in black and white and cropped in camera then processed in ribbet using cross process and soften.

thank you for your visits and kind comments; know that they are truly appreciated.

this is a lovely portrait... i think the processing is stellar... it has a lovely painterly feel to it!

I love her dreamy expression, especially the look in her eyes as if she's thinking about what might happen later in the evening. Stop me or I'll write a story about her -- she'd make a good book cover. None of the other entries caught what you caught.

@catwoman2 - thank you, mary, and i encourage you to write the story. it'd be interesting. when i write short stories, i mostly base it on photo prompts like this, too. i shall tell her about your comments.

I like this one the best. The haste and focus add to the vintage feel
