Memphis - Lorraine Motel

The plaque reads - On 4 April 1968 Dr Martin Luther King stood on the balcony in front of room 306. At 6:01 pm a bullet streaked across Mulberry Street and killed him.
Like stepping back into a turbulent time

Wow I’m surprised it is so low key….a very historic occasion but it’s just a car park really! Interesting time you’re having!

Oh wow, how ordinary it looks, but I suppose it was, just an ordinary motel!

Interesting to see. As others have said, it's quite a low-key memorial, isn't it? Fav for your capture of this tragically historic place.
