@suez1e Suggested that I presented a photo in the style of Ansel Adams for my get pushed challenge.
My biggest challenge has been the appalling wet weather so far this week. Secondly unlike the beautiful mountains and scenery that Ansel had to work with are lacking on the South coast of the UK where I live.
I could have thrown in the towel and asked for another challenge but I was determined to find something. So armed with a camera on Black & White setting and a little bit of Snapseed magic this is my offering.
Interestingly the church is only just above sea level and not on a hill. amazing what camera angle can do. The foreground is the shoreline on a low tide.
So if nothing else it is fair to say that I have been well and truly pushed.
@suez1e thank you for this challenge. This is as close as I can get to the style of Ansel Adams for all of the above reasons but really wanted to give it a go.
That was a tough challenge. Even few professionals can manage a photo like Ansel Adams’, but it says the STYLE of Ansel Adams and I think you got that and a beautiful dramatic sky and you accepted the challenge. So I would call that a win.
Well I have just had to ask our friend Google about this chap, as I am a bit of a philistine when it comes to photographers & artists. Looking at what I found, I would say this is definitely in his style. Lots to see in this shot too.
I am so impressed that you took on a challenge that pushed you outside your comfort zone and that you got a good result. We’ll done. I agree that Ansel Adam’s would be impressed
