A couple of weeks ago we had strong winds and a tidal surge.this swans nest was taken along the road by flooding. People close by were able to push the nest to a safer position so have put a barrier up for extra protection. Throughout Mum did not leave the nest at any point in time during the storm and was quite aggressive when the nest was being pushed to this safe place. Obviously a very protective mum to be.
How distraught she must have been at the time and how heartwarming that people made this extra effort for her. This is a fabulous storytelling photo, Sue.
THAT is an incredibly endearing story and what a marvelous photo!!! Everyone who helped her will have a stake in the outcome of the babies when they hatch and all should rightly have some pride in giving her family the needed assist!
