Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.

I love cotton grass and I loved the light on this. I saw some red deer minutes after this was taken, and uploaded that picture this week too, but this has to be my favourite.
Like this - just because it was just a 'play' shot, something a little abstract - a blue superman T-Shirt, hanging next to a navy and white striped one on the washing line - photo taken at dusk - on a £15 ($23US) ancient compact (from ebay) - whilst panning quickly.
For the last year I've been wanting a beach shot with rocks in the foreground, and finally made it happen whilst on our weekend getaway. I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I actually have several favorites this week. I picked this picture because it was not only my favorite, it was my first picture to go to PP, and made it to final 5 in two challenges. It's very unexpected and I'm thrilled to say the least.
hope this counts. I posted it on the 10th, although I took the pic a few days previously... I liked it as I usually don't edit my pics much, and was pleased with how this turned out after I processed this to try to get a detailed centre and softer petals.
I have not done a lot of careful portraits, so when I had the opportunity at the Photo Expo with professional models and great lighting, even here outside, it was time to get serious. Mary was the most fun to shoot.
During quite a difficult week I took time out for a walk in the woods to have something of an experiment. Photography always puts things in a different light.
I like the way this one turned out because of the details lining up the way they do in the composition. Taken on the spur of the moment I think my eye sees things on a subconscious level and I only become fully aware and am able to analyze afterwards. I find that concept fascinating.
I have to go with this one for so many reasons.... my first attempt at a triptych, the b&w processing, the fact that all three images are from the same photo, the story each frame tells.....
@amyspada that is a really lovely picture, love the ink as well! I can completey relate to the concept of composition being partly subconscious although my subconscious has a way to go to catch up with yours!!
@gwhit123 - thanks George. It is HDR, yes. I'm just starting to process some images in this way. Finding it a fine line between making it look edited, but not so much so that it blows up your eyeballs!
@gwhit123 - well there are a few threads lurking on here about how to approach it; I used Photomatix Essentials for this. Not too pricey (and there's a free ?month's trial available) and if I do a lot then I might upgrade to pro as I do find it really easy to use. Good luck!
I like the way this turned out because I think it tries to convey the spirit of the place, an open, lively, luxuriant cafe & restaurant, annexed to art gallery and 2 art shops in the heart of new Milan, Corso Como.
Of all the shots I took in the cottage garden at Lacock Abbey with its rather exotic plants and whatnots it was this group of chives basking in the late afternoon light which in the end I must proud of.
This one as I've been wanting to try shooting straight onto paper for ages. Being part of 365 has given me the push to do things that have been on a to do list for ages.
I like this one because Daisy Quacker hadn't been round for 2 or 3 weeks and I was so pleased to see her. It was also one of the first pics I took with my new camera and I was pleased with how it had turned out.
Hmmm, tough to pick, but I will go with this one. I've tried a few times to catch this before and everything came together for me this time. I am also a sucker for reflections and this had one.
A place I have visited before yet this time right before this shot we had a heavy rain storm...then everything went calm however the exciting part was all the amazing lightening strikes that kept hitting the lake for quite some time after the storm. The lake normally does not look this calm and clear and I loved how there is a slight reflection of the clouds.
@tigerdreamer not so much instant processing as instant reflexes :) I 've heard of "in the blink of an eye" by Walter Murch... I must read it for sure. Thanks for the reminder :)
This is my favourite because it was just one of those random moments that happen...and I had a camera with me! Had fun playing round with the processing too!
I didn't post many photos this week, but of the few that I did, I like this one the best. I was playing around with dfferent lights and trying to figure out what kind of effects I could achieve with my flash at different levels. I don't normally use a flash, but I love the effect it had on the top petals in this photo.
Mine is actually set of two pictures that compiment eachother. I like them because Hi-Tech came out exactly as I envisioned, and because I like to see the contrast of old vs new ;)
This is my favourite this week, I was playing with my new photography lights and I had made these little cupcake bites for another 365er whose daughter is having a birthday today.
Difficult choice for me this week, so i have had to chose 2
The first ~ because I waited a few years since the last one and had booked my ticket 7 months ago ~ a shot from a Bon Jovi concert on Wednesday ~ can't wait for the next tour! :-)
AND the second ~ because my dad nags and nags me on a daily basis to send my photos to the local newspaper ~ I have sent some, but this time they printed one and wrote a story to go with it :-)
We had severe weather the day of this shot with tons of rain. I had this shot in mind on my drive home from the office but it stopped raining by the time I was outside the country store. So I pulled over into a safe spot, scooped handfuls of water from a nearby puddle and threw them on my driver side window, got back in the car and snapped away through the glass re-creating my own weather. I kept thinking that anyone watching me would probably be calling the authorities ;-).
Because the pelicans are so skittish!! As soon as they see or hear me the turn and go the other way. Hence the reason I have ended up with a lot of pics of pelican butt.
because I re-started my project during this period and there were only two to choose from, but I really love this one because, despite being the cold beginning of winter, this pic looks more like spring! :-)
If you visit Portsmouth (UK), there is the almost compulsory shot of the Spinnaker Tower that overlooks the naval base. I thought it would be interesting to get a slightly different view. Some work went into 'shopping my relfection out (from somewhere near the seam of rivets) - but overall, I was quite pleased with the end result.

Something I have wanted to try for a while. Might have more of a play at some point
It was especially satisfying because of how it came about.
Because I tried something new.

Alliums' are one of my favourite seed heads at this time of the year - so architectural, such perfect shapes - nature is amazing

This photo is 25 years in the making, my friend and I promised in our 20's to someday hike the Grand Canyon...took awhile but WE DID IT!
Because I have wanted to achieve this effect with a Gerbera for such a long time and I finally succeeded.
just loved the simpleness of this shot
these feet just look amazing, and I managed to make it into a clean high key shot from a less than ideal capture... and it made PP
just like the simplicity of it.
Because I'm a sucker for rust and peeling paint!
The patterns and textures were so delicate - I seemed to have got the colour just right too. I was very pleased with it.
I like the way the processing has turned out
