I do, I do, I do

Three generations of wedding rings. Engraved one is mine, plain band was my mother's and the X was my grandmother's which was designed into a pendant when it had to be cut off her finger.

My get -pushed challenge is to do post production editing and I'm peed off with it as I have no idea how to operate the more advanced system. Painting the background white looked really white, but lost definition of edges and lack of shadows looked really silly.

I tried to draw around it with the lasso tool, but than had no idea what to do with it once I'd zig-zagged all over it.

Just realised could have been a song title entry too!!! Good old ABBA! !!

This has a Gaussian (??) filter on it (apparently) not that I can see any difference. Worst get-pushed to date and I've not learnt anything from it, trial and error is very depressing.

However did enjoy using the +10 macro filter and the new white LED light (but it's not that white is it???)

Nice picture anyway! Instantly recognised the pendant! I can't get get my wedding ring off!

Despite all your trials Jackie, this is such a meaningful and special shot for the family history it holds. I immediately thought "I could do that" only as far as getting three generations of wedding rings together. What a great idea, and I like the shot too!

Jackie I have been so busy with job hunting and my two classes I haven't been checking out my lightamateur tag. May I suggest that you use the magnetic lasso tool because once you click on one point and them follow along the edge it will lay down the points. You can undo a point with the delete key, Once you have it selected copy to it's own layer by hitting Control J. You can then move to a document by itself using - Layer - Duplicate Layer - and in the box that opens select New by clicking on the down arrow in Document box. Hope this helps.

@joansmor thank you, how's job hunting going, so stressful to do!!!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Well I have retirement income so that removes a lot of the stress. The stress comes when it interferes with my play. And to make matters worse I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Wednesday. A fun couple of days ahead.
