The idyllic village of Southwick is completely privately owned and all doors, and shutters have to be painted in the same shade of dark red. Many of the cottages are medieval with thatch and timbers visible
The D-Day Landings were planned at Southwick House and the map used in the planning is still there. In addition to the church, which is a 'peculiar' and outside the control of the CofE, there are two foodie pubs, a post office and popular tea-room. So popular I've already booked an afternoon tea slot in the summer!
There are so many interesting things to see in this collage. Each photo fascinating by itself. Cute tag too. It sounds like a great place to visit and I’m wondering who you will be taking to that tea with you this summer?
