Garlic by 30pics4jackiesdiamond

Garlic

I peeled some garlic and loved the look of the outer skin, so thought I'd torture myself with a white on white for the abstract challenge.

I turned it into an exercise on processing using the three different methods on my laptop.

Not sure it qualifies for the abstract challenge now though Rob?
Love the different results! The colour in photoscapex is great!

those results are interesting - although GIMP is very much what you want it to do, like photoshop - you could pull the curves down to get a result like photoscapex

That's so good seeing the original as well! I like to use photoscape too!

Woowee - what a day!! An experiment for an abstract result!! And of course it qualifies (most things do to my mind - if they please you with colour or form or line or....) The general opinion re the photoscapex seems to be my choice too. Congratulations and celebrations are in order!!! :)

Great experiment Jackie. I haven't heard of photoScapeX, but like the effect . What's it like as an editing tool?

@merrelyn so eassy even I can use it, but very very basic!! It has lovely bokeh and light layers (yu may have noticed a few in my album last week!!
@onewing Thank you Babs
@robz I'll tag it in a mo then Rob
@randystreat I learn best by doing and tis was doing a lot!!
@wendyfrost I think it looksthe least real!
@maggiemae it is easy isn't it
@shannejw no idea how I got that effect in photoscapex, and then couldnt undo it! (I'm that rubbish at editting!)
@shannejw I used curves in GIMP and that is my oersonal favourite
@ludwigsdiana it's my least fave
@Dawn and no swearing either!! Thank you
@joysabin thank you Joy
@grammyn thanks Katy, it was sort of fun, \i'd still rather manage a true white on white without editting
@jacqbb but it doesn't look at all like the original.

Thank you all for not minding a third photo going p in a day and your lovely feedback. I like the Word and GIMP ones best,
