We didn't used to get the Mourning Doves at the feeders during the winter but for some reason they have been showing up the last few years. They never get on our feeders, rather they are ground feeders. They are good at cleaning up the mess the other birds leave behind. The Blue Jays and Starlings in particular are terrible about flinging seeds all over the place with their beaks trying to find their favorite nuts & seeds in the feeders!
