They're not as likely to come up close to the house as some of the other birds but he did today and I got him! :)

When they named this bird, weren't they being just a little obtuse. You can never see a woodpecker's belly, but it's head on the other hand..

The Woodpeckers are always fun to watch...this guy is such a character! He's one of the bigger birds but unlike the Blue Jays he's not aggressive in the least. He pretty much keeps to himself! :)

I love these guys. They are so interesting to watch. They eat from the suet but sometimes they will hang off the side of the seed feeders and eat too.
