This discussion chain is to highlight the work of someone else and show a photo that you marked as +FAV (on the top of the screen) this week. Having people FAV your photo lets you know that what you did really connected with other photographers and for the new members, it really helps get that photo to the popular page. We do this post every week and it is a great way to see work you might of missed or find someone new to follow.
So find a fav from this week and include their user name and why you connected with this photo. Please don't forget to CREDIT their photo with the username!
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste. 5) If it is not your photo also tag the person who it belongs to so they know you love it (@name) remember no punctuation on either side of the @and name.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
I really like the ethereal feel to this. It was taken by Karenann who does not believe she is a good photographer, in my opinion she takes some excellent and beautiful shots. I wished she believed in herself a bit more :0) @karenann
Had to also post this one, as it is another favorite with the gull and all the water action, and I also like the vintage look brought out by the processing, done by Marilyn Wigen @marilyn
@myutofocuslife Oh my!!! Thank you so much Livia!! Me lying on the grass in the sun taking this, seems a million days away from the recent weather. Again, thank you so much and glad you enjoyed it :-)
Wow, Thanks Lorraine.
* Although could I add that the actual photo was not edited.
I photoshopped a border around each pictures (twice where required) to make them look like playing cards, then printed them, cut them out and arranged them on the table (the Dark Side of the Moon on is just placed on an open pack of cards). It was only then, that I took the photo.
There were so many, it is hard to pic just one of them, I love them all and that is why I FAV them. I selected this one by Karuna, her profile says she is 14. She takes some really good shots. @agavegirl13
@hollandcrew Al, my dear... Imagine my surprise as I scroll down this FABULOUS posting, to find my photo (Heavens Fury) selected as your favorite favorite for this past week! I'm humbled and appreciative that my photo was chosen by you. Thank you for being moved by what moved me. X Betsie
This photo was taken by @cornefunproject... I was/am captivated by this photograph. The layers of cream-colored hue in the wings of this bird. The shape of it, the strength and fragility of it. It's a fantastic capture!
@automaticslim Thnx, for putting my picture in the spotlight! This project is really stimulating my photography-skills and I like the positive input from all the people at this site. :-)
I liked the whole scene - the detail of the bird's feet wrapped around the twig, the orange throat, his beak, and the twig itself. Fantastic composition - viewing it large on black is a treat.
@tryeveryday Wow - thank you, Michelle, for the mention and kind words. I definitely feel less than zen most of the time, so your comment definitely brought a smile!
my pick for this week has to be a shot taken of my granddaughter by my daughter (@kylapalin) It won her an honourable mention in the google+ scavenger hunt this month.
Some of my favs have already appeared so I decided to post a different one. So many this week could have been placed here- so many excellent shots! But this one is simply beautiful! @karenann
I really love this one by @leananiemand for many reasons, one being that it was taken on her incredible bicycle journey around the world... and the rest being how wonderful the tones and composition and silhouettes are!
I only just recently discovered this one by @rrt that I think is just about perfection! And it was taken with a Brownie Box Camera on ISO 120 film. Love it!
@grizzlysghost Thank you, It is strange how something I took and posted several years ago comes back around. I just found out that the picture stands a good chance of being on the front page of a supplement paper in our local newspaper this next week. Thanks again for the comment.
@miley89 Hi Miley, people fav at different rates, so some will give many per week, some just a few. These threads are an opportunity to show one of the shots you liked the best from the week and to say why. It helps others to see someone's lovely work that they might have missed.
@summerfield Thank you so much for choosing my Red Velvet picture as your Favorite .....I am so honored by that coming from you....You made my day....Thank you again.....
@miley89 Yes, people choose FAVs - pictures that strike them for any particular reason as favorites - any time they want to. I post this thread once a week so that you can go back and look at the favs you've chosen throughout the week and post the one that is your most special favorite. It's a wonderful thread and sometimes gives you an opportunity to browse through and find a special photographer who you may not have noticed before, as well as a place of inspiration to see what others are doing. (Ace members can look at their statistics to see their favs; I'm not sure about others.) Anyway, welcome to the thread and have at it!
I really like this shot by Peter @peadar - he really works hard at his indoor shots and the attention to detail and just general great idea really shines here:
@lyno -- I just want to thank you for starting this thread every week. I stopped viewing the PP because frankly I find it meaningless. It rarely shows the best of the best that 365 has to offer. It is in threads like this that I discover the work of the really talented members. Some of this stuff is just stunning and blows my socks off and sadly very few of these shots ever make it to the PP, but deserve to.
@miley89 Well, I guess that explains it, then. . .i didn't know that you were into a second year. . .I would assume this is not the thread for you if you aren't interested in choosing others' photos as favorites that you can track and look back at.
@beachradish What a compliment coming from you! I completely missed this in keeping an eye on the thread, so I am doubly honored and humbled to see it now. Thanks so much!
I only had 2 this week - no time! And frankly can't pick between the two - since @beachradish was previously mentioned for same shot, I'll post her competition (for me) by@janmaki
@Weezilou I chose this for its nostalgic feel, the smell of lilacs, its composition......lovely to have you back again Louise!
