Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
I liked this one because of the colours of the pens but mainly because it was taken on my iPhone and I have never got a picture as clear as this one on my phone. Maybe I should try and use it more often.
This was both technically challenging to shoot and edit. This is a reflection of statues onto a black granite wall that is etched. It is also powerful in its image.
I really like the strong lines and the depth of this shot. This shot got me my first Fav of my 365 project. It was my 11th entry. It also propelled me to the PP which was very exciting. Thanks to all those who have viewed it, commented on it and Fav'd it.
Using my 35mm prime lens at the car show was challenging - however, I took full advantage of its shallow dof to capture the iconic hood ornament on this 1962 Lincoln Continental:
This is my favorite picture, because I came up with the idea on my own and was actually able to pull it off. ( It also involved rearranging my whole living room and moving the couch!)
I had this idea and it turned out just like I wanted, and that is exciting to me. However, I was hesitant to post it; but the response to it was so overwhelming and wonderful! Another reason I love this community...everyone's always so supportive!
A 5 minute burst of inspiration which involved covering my desk drawers at work with A4 paper. I like the processing and how the boots look so worn in ...
Sadly I peaked too soon and it was all downhill after that shot.
I love how this turned out because for me, this is what snow should really be all about (none of that windy, ice in your eyes stuff I had for the last couple of days)!
this one, because I loved it but had this crazy notion in my head that people wouldn't because of the lighting or the angle or that it would be too orange/brown, so I held on to it for a couple days before deciding to go ahead and upload it - to my spare album.... boy was I wrong... people saw it the same way I did.
This one, because it represents where I want to be with my portraiture. This workshop helped me realize that doing styled sessions with a dressed set doesn't have to be complicated.
This one: Firstly because I'm not used to seeing swans where I live and secondly because I'm certaily not used to seeing swans trying to keep the cold out like this.
because i was actually able to capture her smiling in her sleep...i normally have to sit there with my iphone set to video and take a still frame....this was a lucky shot
This one. Mainly because my daughter is in it with one of her zany hats, and also because I love this 1950's diner so much. And I find the color palette very appealing. :-)
This was my favorite - a completely unplanned shot. Happily I had my camera in my pocket while in the backyard, when I looked up and saw the plane flying so high across the sky. The air was so clear and cold and the colors so lovely. I was very happy with the results.
This my favourite, not because of the quality but because it is the first time I have seen one of these birds on the ground close up in my garden. Don't forget it is the RSPB big bird watch this weekend if you want to join in.
This one I took today, had this shot planned for a whole. Second attempt at getting there due to the snow. When I arrived it was cloudy and dull, then the clouds opened up.
This is my fav of the week, it was for my get pushed challenge and was my first time trying to get bokeh, after a day or so failing to get anything I was pleased that I finally got it down.
This one because I actually spent time setting up the object, getting the lighting the way I wanted it (I don't have any off-camera equipment, so it's about moving lamps around), and then making a conscious decision (instead of luck by taking tons of photos and seeing what works) to use DOF to make it as interesting as I could, with some bokeh to add to the interest. So, it may not be my best in terms of looks, but I felt it was a real effort at trying to do something to post.
This is not necessarily the best pic I have taken but I like it because I was so surprised to see a deer in the lane near where I live. It was tucked away in the hedge and gave me quite a surprise! He stood there while I took pics but kept shouting at me and I wondered whether he was hungry because there was so much snow on the ground.
One off of my bucket list & if it wasn't for this place & my get pushed challenge I would not have got this to tick off my list. It made me get out of my little zone I have been in lately
This one because I've never taken such a photo with so much contrast before. It was like it was meant to be...my kitty just sat and enjoyed the sunlight and I was thrilled to have an entry for the week's theme.
I was really pleased with this shot as I have been on a bit of an abstract hunt of late and this was just a nice burst of colour and I was really happy that this more creative type of set up worked out.
This one was my most satisfying this week because I've always had a lot of trouble getting good focus with self-portraits, but this time I seem to have managed to get it right.
This is my favourite of the week for a couple of reasons - the boys were having such a great time on their "sleepover", but also, as of today, half that tree down the end of the driveway is missing due to the storms (was completely across our driveway, a not so nice welcome home greeting from being away overnight, actually cutting our holiday short due to the weather), so it is nice to have a reminder of what it used to look like :)
This was my favorite image from the week. It was unplanned and just happened. As I was photographing the moon the sun was beginning to set and turned the clouds orange. Also, as I photographed I watched this large orange cloud just pass over the moon so I was able to get a sequence of photos...all the same...but still different.
I guess it has to be this one, even though I usually prefer full techni-colour, but it seemed to attract a lot of interest and I enjoyed playing with an experimental technique...
This is one of my faves of a series of Instagram shots I took on this foggy morning at nearby Sliver Lake. I love the several interesting elements in the image plus knowing that there are two (tiny in this pic!) bald eagles sitting in the top of the trees on the opposite shore!
OK I admit it is a bit of a ‘poke in the eye with a sharp stick’ type image, not what you could call pretty, not your run of the mill landscape or portrait, but then I do like to experiment – break the mould, just a wee bit.
This image really surprised me when I saw the shadow of the reflection ‘deep’ inside the picture. This adds an extra dimension to a pretty mundane object – 25 screws – that have just been arranged on a mirror and shot with a flash.
It is the first picture of what might turn into a project within a project – the ‘Mirror–rorriM’ series.
Couldnt choose between this one and the one taken on the 19th, both for different reasons, but in the end i choose the feet... as i mention i hate feet but i love the detail in this coots feet plus theyre really funny characters and he just stood patiently whilst i clicked away.
This was my favorite this week - I had one shot (due to traffic behind me!) and got exactly what I wanted - and a dense fog is not very common where I live.
I have some I like for artsy reasons, but this one has my heart so its my favorite. I love the expressions on both mom & baby's faces. And the lighting was dead on -- no red eye or washouts! Especially nice knowing he had been sick and this was the beginning of the return to his mischief making.
I had a busy week an as a result, only uploaded two pictures this week - not a lot to choose my favourite from. Although it scared the hell out of me to upload it, let alone nominate it as my favourite, I am super proud of how this one turned out. I'm also proud of myself for being brave enough to put it out there.
I love capturing that perfect moment. This happened in this photo. But even though you capture the moment doesn't mean it's a great photo. For me, the background ruins this photo - but it's still my favorite from the week.
Probably my flicker. I was so happy to see he has returned - I have not seen one around here for several years. Taken thru my home office window that has a screen on it .
I've done mostly close up/macro photos so far. I was so happy to get out of the house, and was pretty pleased with my first time getting a photo of a building.
I spent the week visiting my 88 year old grandmother. She was super self-conscious in front of the camera because she thinks she looks like an old lady. It was nice to capture a moment where she was happy and came out looking like a proud great-grandma.
Wasn't a good week for me in terms of photo's that I'm really satisfied with - this one was the one I'm most happy with - like the detail on the wings - and his hairy bottom.
Gotta love Grandma! :)
Just loved the way this turned out... composition, editing. Even better than I'd imagine when planning my daily shot. :)
My favorite this week because it was such a challenge getting a clear shot of Porky's face.
Freezing my tail feathers off, we don't often see these little guys around our house.
"I have a Bream"
& "Robot Burns"
it was very hard to pick one, made some nice pics last week. but I chose this one because I really liked the lights in the morning.
I like this one more for the reasoning behind why the boy doll is wearing a dress. =)
This one because I stood in the cold for ages trying to get a good shot!
Bright and colourful, and I like the bokeh and reflections.
as i was really making an effort to get the position right

I just thought he had a sweet little face

because i like the mixture of light and dark
I just really liked how the trees were lines up, just a marching line of spindly trees. There was something pretty about it to me. :D
This one because it typifies an Australian summers day on the beach
Just love the contrasting colours of this one :)
It was about 7 degrees Fahrenheit when i hiked down to pond-- all ice (yikes!) to get a photo of this guy :)
I'm not sure if I love this one, but it's one of my favorites from the week :)
There is a link to the same train car 1.5 years earlier.
I just really like how this turned out- i love the tones
Because it shows so many things near and dear to my heart and because it turned out how I envisioned SOOC.
Due to the weather this week I had to think of shots I could take indoors, so this gets my vote because I tried something new.
My cheeky little boy... i just want to squish him to pieces!

I think this was my favorite from the past week, I like the color scheme in it :)

just wanna add warm colors in this cold wintery weather..a selfie in crayons :)
I took this for Plan-4-Jan word Love. It was a lot a fun to set up so that's why it was my fav this week.
Felt good to do some editing in the GIMP!

My first clear shot of the moon :)
This one because I was tryign to take pics of my local church, but my boy couldn't resist the temptation to be in the shot!
And this one because I love the colors.
