Deserted Beach by onewing

Deserted Beach

I'm not having a good day today. Had good intentions of spending the morning catching up on 365, but all went a bit pear shaped as the day progressed and it has turned into quite a sad day.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

When things are bad there is nothing better than a walk along a deserted beach in the sunshine to blow the cobwebs away.

Weatherwise it has been beautiful today and we are lucky enough to live so close to a really quiet beach and a walk along it brightens up the darkest of days.

Hopefully will try and catch up tonight on 365.

Today's black and white photo

Oh Babs, I am sorry you had a sad day. The beach is a good place for contemplation. But you pic is lovely anyway. Sending Hugs. ;-)

You are so brave Babs and use your irrepressible sense of humour to mask your immense sadness I'm sure. I have a friend who lost her son in July last year, 26, in utterly tragic and horrific circumstances. She is in a bad place, she retired two years ago, husband still at work and her remaining daughter just back to work. She has far to much time on her hands to let grief overwhelm her. I am going to suggest she joins this community and encourage her to 'look for the good in every day' as you do. Sending you a hug and hope you are back on your feet today. Beautiful beach. I hope the softly rolling waves soothed you a little.

Wish I could help Babs. I never know what to say that will be of any use. Even on a really bad day your photos are good and I do look forward to seeing them x .

lovely soothing image Babs, I find going on walks with my camera very relaxing when stressed, hope your sad days are few and far between;)

Ah Babs, so sorry your day was so sad, your capture really tells a story, take care my friend Xxx

I hope your days improve. The deserted beach reflects your sadness.

Hope your are felling better. I'm facing one of those tough days today. I plan to take my camera with me. There is something about the camera that helps take the focus from within. The water in the photo looks like it contains little jewels.

Babs so sorry to hear you've had a sad day - the unexpected ones are the worse I think. Hope the sun shines for you tomorrow & things seem brighter.

Like many others here, I hope your feeling better soon. Sorry to hear your feeling down but just remember, when you have a bad day it just means that the next one has to be a little better right? :)
A beautiful photo nonetheless, so pretty x

@sioux Thanks so much Sue. Today is a better day. We have so much to deal with at the moment to do with Zoe. (Our daughter who died just over a year ago) and most of the time we come to acceptance but still have very sad days when we are dealing with legal stuff to do with her. I bounce back and will be okay. Thanks for the hugs. Much appreciated.

@jackie8 Thanks so much Jackie. Had legal stuff to deal with yesterday to do with Zoe and it all got a bit too much. Most of the time I am fine now, but it does catch up unexpectedly. Tell your friend to join 365 it is the best thing I ever did. As you know Deb and I started here together just before Zoe died and we both decided to carry on. To go out each day and find something good in the world is very therapeutic. I had a lovely long chat to Deb last night as she has had a few bad days lately and we bounced off each other. Feeling much better today. A walk on our lovely local beach always cheers me up and if I see a dolphin swimming by even better. Thanks so much.

@chimfa Thanks so much Jane. Feeling much better today. Just had a very sad day yesterday. Will email you. There is nothing anyone can do so don't worry. As you know I bounce so will be fine. Take care.

@karlow75 Thanks so much Kane. Had a lot to deal with yesterday and it all got a bit too much. I do bounce back though and a walk on our local beach works wonders. Saw two dolphins swimming by too which always brings a smile to the face. Lovely to have a beach almost to yourself. Only saw one other person. More like a spring day yesterday rather than almost winter.
