A bit late posting tonight because we have been out for lunch in Newcastle today and then at the theatre this afternoon and back to the bay and out for dinner this evening with the friends we were at the theatre with.
I took this photo a while ago when we were photographing the aftermath of the bushfire at Salt Ash. I thought at first this car had been caught up in the bushfire but it was too far away from the burnt out bushland. I suspect it was taken by joyriders and torched once it was abandoned. Sad to see that somebody wouldn't be getting their car back.
What devastation but great for the photographer , and like Annie it really annoys me that some people seem to have joy in destroying other people's properties ! @annied
Interesting story Babs you have captured the willful destruction in fine detail, such a sad end to someones pride and joy, my son had his very unique Troy Bayliss Infro strada Ducati race replica bike Stolen it was found by the police 4 weeks later burnt out, it broke his heart to see it:)
Oh dear I would be really upset to see my car looking like that ....it's amazing how you get fond of your own wheels! Fantastic gritty shot showing all the inards!
Sad to see they didn't just "return" it by leaving it somewhere that the owners could get it back. But values and respect don't seem to be as abundant today as they were when I was growing up. I hate that I'm starting to sound really old! Good shot though!
@chimfa Yep, just a normal day. We did have a great day with friends though and the play was brilliant.
@pcoulson Oh no Peter that is awful.
