NeW Space Again by onewing

NeW Space Again

Yesterday I posted a photo of the recently completed Newcastle University NeW Space Campus and here it is again from a different angle.

I love the fact that the Newcastle City Hall clock tower is peeping through the gap in the university building.
So very modern. I like he City Hall clock too.

The clock tower is somehow the first thing I noticed. Love the contrast between that and this crazy looking structure.

@henrir @stray_shooter City Hall was built in 1929 and has recently undergone quite a facelift. It is looking very grand now. I didn't get chance to take a photo of it close up on Sunday, but will be back again soon now the scaffolding is down because it is a very impressive building. If I had to choose between the old and the new I guess I would prefer the old, but the university building is still an impressive structure too.

I didn't notice the clock tower until your pointed it out. The architect must have been the same person who designed the RMIT buildings in Melbourne, they look very similar.

@nicolecampbell Lyons Architecture who designed the RMIT in Melbourne did indeed design this building too along with local architect EJE Architecture

@onewing - looks like I know my architects, even if I don't know their names :)

An ingenious architect! This image’s angle that dwarfs the clock tower makes this building intimidating. Ha!

Lovely perspective showing off the wonderful geometrical shapes and super reflected light Babs as Ron @stray_shooter said yesterday I also would not like to have been the structural engineer making it work, lol:)
